Job Description

We’re looking to expand our team for our Sales Track to build out our admission support and help shape the next iteration of the Pathrise program. We are looking for natural communicators who care about mentorship and uplifting others. As a Sales Admissions Specialist, your main responsibility would be to perform admission sessions and from time to time work on internal projects. Some work on weekends and evenings is expected, and the role is fully remote. You will be responsible for overseeing Pathrise's admission process. You will be grading applicants’ suitability to join our program, which involves asking them questions about their current job search and what they want to get out of the Pathrise program. You will use a rubric to evaluate and grade the applicants responses as well as answer their questions about Pathrise. You will work cross-functionally with Sales Industry Leads and operations to promote engagement, process improvements, and data tracking. 

We are looking for an Admissions Specialist to have: 

Strong communication skills: You can communicate high quality feedback in interviews to help improve the experience for Pathrise candidates. You have a knack of communicating the value that Pathrise offers to help candidates understand the benefit.

Able to learn on the fly: You are a quick, relentless, and versatile learner who is open to change. You like to experiment and will try anything to find solutions. You are a natural salesperson (or with a strong passion to learn about sales techniques)

An adept collaborator: You are able to collaborate remotely, with team members and managers in different locations. You can quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of all. You are seen as a team player who can solve problems with peers with a minimum amount of noise.

Action-oriented: You enjoy working hard and confront challenges with enthusiasm. You can set goals, prioritize the next steps to achieve them, and measure your success + impact. 

There are many session types (all conducted online through Google Hangouts). As an Admissions Specialist, you will be going through onboarding training for: 

Admission Sessions

Duration: 30 - 45 Minutes

Target Audience: Prospective fellows for the Pathrise program


  • Evaluating candidates in 1-on-1 admissions sessions and collaborating with Admissions Managers on candidates’ fit for the program
  • Gathering candidates’ current pain-points about their job search and selling the value of Pathrise as a solution
  • Building up and improving on the admissions process for Sales fellows
  • Answering fellow questions about the program and handling objections

Minimum Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience working in sales, customer success, business development, account management, or related field
  • Knowledge of any of the following in a professional capacity: Sales, Customer Success, and Account Management
  • A passion for mentorship, coaching or education!Be available for ~10 hours a week during the working hours of 9am-5pm your local time
  • Interest or previous experience in the tech industry strongly preferred
