What is Pathrise?

Pathrise (YC W18) is an online program for tech professionals that provides 1-on-1 mentorship, training and advice to help anyone land their next job. On top of that, we're built around aligned incentives. Fellows only pay when they get hired and start working at a job first.

The Role

Pathrise is looking for a recruiter to join us in building our company from the ground up by managing the full-cycle recruiting process as we grow our full-time team to 50 employees and beyond. You will report to the Head of Operations and work with our full-time recruiter on our hiring team. You will fill a range of business-critical positions, including senior strategy roles, technical roles, IC roles and part-time roles, providing a smooth fully-remote hiring experience for candidates. You will balance our immediate headcount needs with working collaboratively with our team to optimize and standardize our recruitment strategies and processes across the hiring funnel. 

This role is perfect for a self-motivated team player with an entrepreneurial spirit. You will be prepared to hit the ground running to achieve high growth goals, while simultaneously identifying where we can standardize our hiring processes. You will be proactive, accountable, and can excel in a remote position where your ability to navigate ambiguity will help determine your success. 

Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle recruiting processes from role ideation to closing candidates, with a focus on candidate advocacy and strong hiring manager partnerships
• Implement diversity, equity, and inclusion hiring practices to build and maintain a diverse and high-quality candidate pipeline across a variety of teams and skillsets
• Build and maintain rapport with candidates and act as their main touchpoint within the company to ensure they have a positive candidate experience 
• Proactively develop sourcing strategies to find and attract top talent
• Manage relationships with hiring managers across the organization, build your understanding for their team functions, and work in a consultative manner
• Measure and report on hiring data and leverage industry trends to optimize hiring 
• Assist in miscellaneous recruiting projects, adding new recruiting tools, etc.

Required

• 3+ years full cycle in-house recruiting experience at a seed, series A, or series B startup or similar experience
• Exceptional time management skills, able to balance various goals simultaneously
• Autonomous working style, able to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment 
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and written/verbal communication skills, able to work productively with a variety of people
• Strong analytical and research skills, able to autonomously and proactively analyze funnel efficiency and other KPIs and adjust hiring strategies accordingly
• Assertive personality comfortable with providing guidance, coaching new managers, and providing feedback when needed
• Strong judgement and discretion in working with sensitive and confidential information

Preferred

• Some technical recruiting experience
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (Lever and/or Greenhouse)
• Interest and passion for education, mentorship and/or tech
